Behnoush Tabatabaee joins 'Takhti' movie

Behnoush Tabatabaee, the star of ifilm series 'Michael' has joined new film project 'Takhti, the World Champion'.

Directed by Bahram Tavakkoli, the film project which is a biopic on Iranian wrestling champion Gholam-Reza Takhti has taken on the actress.

The film will cover three phases of the athlete's life. So far two of them have been filmed and Tabatabaee will be playing a role in the third one which covers Takhti's adulthood.

Born in 1981, Tabatabaee took an acting course under Saeed Keshan-Fallah supervision at University of Tehran's Faculty of Fine Arts.

Her debut drama was ‘Damoon Alley’ in 1999 and she became a household name after playing a role in the drama ‘Passenger from India’ (2002) which has also been aired by ifilm.

Tabatabaee has played roles in various movies, including ‘Hardships of the Maiden’ (2006), ‘Flying Crow’ (2007) and ‘Banana Peel’ (2008).
 
She has also starred in dramas such as ‘Cocoons of Flight’ (2004-2005), ‘The Rise of Mokhtar’ (2010), and ’The Forgotten’ (2011).
